If you have such an internet drama dilemma, pick up the freaking phone. I've never been a fan of forums to begin with (see here), but some dramas are too much even for me. I know, shock and awe. Seriously though, you're a big man on the internet, talk to me on the phone. Say it to my face. Pick one of those or grow up already.

I suppose I shouldn't ask, but, well... don't you expect this? I mean... you place a not insignificant part of your time + energy into maintaining [a number of] blog presences. You make posts and/or lists, and get reactions. Some will be negative; many will, depending on your subject matter. You seem to want the attention, then bemoan it when it is negative.

Internet presence begets drama. More presence, more drama.

That said, of course, you can speak of it all you wish in your LJ. I'm not bitching about you talking about it or anything but I guess it surprises me that it's frustrating for you. I guess it surprises me when any intentional member of the blogosphere gets frustrated by assclowns trying to play big man on the internet. Hell, being a blogger is about playing big man on the internet but generally with less assclownery. Unless it's a political blog... then, the recipe calls for a dash of assclown and a pinch of separation from reality.

Ignoring these people is by far the best weapon against them.

Most of these people are jealous of the persona you project and are trying to take you down a peg to validate whatever they perceive as the inequality between you and themselves. It's pathetic that they behave this way, not frustrating. I really shouldn't hit submit on this, should I? It's late, I'm tired, and my buzz is wearing off so I'll do it anyhow. If you take this wrong plz screen or delete it, etc. This is not an inbound drama attack. Really, it was more a vehicle to use the word 'assclownery' in a sentence.

Yay for drunk posts!

Oh I totally expect it. Nobody wants to act like a grown up or ask others around them to do the same.

Going on my LJ to blog about it is talking my argument home. SInce whatever I or anyone else think won't be getting resolved on a forum, I'll walk away. You can only argue your point for so long.
